To improve the security of TC Energy's external facing business applications, TC Energy's Cybersecurity Office is introduring a new business application authentication solution.
The Okta Sign-On (SSO) solution currently used for passwords resets includes Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Coming in Novermber & December, the MFA will be activated and mandatory for all ANR/GEMS external users.
When the MFA is activated, users will enter a 6-digit authentication code during each log-in attempt to ANR/GEMS before continuing into the application.
Shared login ids and shared/group emails will cause login issues when MFA is deployed. In anticipation of this change and to minimize issues after deployment please take the time to set up each user with their own login id. |
